Planning Permission Granted for New Building (Full Story)

We are pleased to announce that we have been granted planning permission for a new, multi function building which will replace our Friendship Tea Room.

This new building will provide educational facilities and a modern meeting room. We will also be able to improve our visitor facilities with new toilets and expand our archive store.

Construction is planned over the winter of 2019/20 and we will give further updates on this exciting project in the next few weeks.

Piper Aztec G-AYMO (Full Story)

Since its arrival at the Museum from Wellesbourne Mountfield some years back, our Piper Aztec has been receiving some attention to restore it to display condition.

Under the supervision of our Keeper of Exhibits, Matthew Taylor and Stephen Taylor, many missing parts have been traced and fitted and the aircraft now looks much better than when we purchased it.

Piper Aztecs were once a common sight flying from Norwich Airport for both commercial and private operators, so we are pleased to display G-AYMO as a representative example of the type.

Vintage Visitors (Full Story)

Sunday 8 September 2019 saw some interesting vehicles at the Museum.

A rare Lincoln Zephyr from the 1930's, a second later model Lincoln and a 1957 MG.

Our Wings and Wheel event in July 2020 will see a larger gathering of classic cars.
