RAF 139 Squadron Archive Collection Arrives at City of Norwich Aviation Museum
We are proud to announce that we have received the archives of the recently disbanded RAF 139 Squadron Association. This collection will be incorporated into the City of Norwich Aviation Museum collection and will later be made accessible to researchers.
139 Squadron operated from RAF Horsham St Faith (now Norwich International Airport) during the early years of World War Two operating Blenheim and Mosquito aircraft. Later the squadron flew from RAF Marham with 8 Group RAF Bomber Command on pathfinder duties. Postwar, the Mosquito was replaced by Canberra and finally Victor bombers.
