Don't hesitate.... Visit the Museum. You really won't be disappointed What a simply amazing place. Absolutely chock full of fabulous and informative artifacts, information and relics. Had wanted to visit for years and now finally got here. The exhibits are all very well displayed. And the planes themselves a joy to wander around and inspect. For me, I have been able to experience one of my lifetime ambitions. To get into a Vulcan. I found out that the tour to visit the cockpit had stopped on the last day of November. However, the staff were simply amazing and allowed my sister and I to gain access. I was in heaven. I cannot thank the wonderful Linda and John for their incredible helpfulness and John for his unbelievable information. I have studied the Vulcan (and supported XH558 for years) and thought I knew it all. I didn't. And John has enhanced my knowledge immeasurably. Thank you both. So would I recommend a visit? 1000%. And I will be back. Signed a very, very happy Av Geek.

Awesome Place What a fantastic place to visit. Staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Cafe is half way around and you can chat to some of the people who have worked on the planes. You can even get a guided tour around a few of them and it doesn’t cost much (pictures included). Very interesting and a must when visiting Norwich.

Museum with an impressive selection of aircraft next to Norwich Airport This is a relatively small museum but with a decent sized collection of aircraft outside the museum buildings. There is quite a bit to see in the buildings too, both the main building and a secondary more temporary style building housing some cockpits and engines. They have both civilian and military aircraft including a Vulcan and a Nimrod. Tours are available for £3 each of the Vulcan, the Nimrod and the BAe 146 airliner, conducted by their knowledgeable volunteers. This is where the museum really shines. On each tour, a volunteer will take you all around the aircraft, telling you about it's history, it's role and the function of every aspect of the aircraft. This includes inside and out and in the case of the Nimrod and Vulcan it involves seeing all the different crew locations inside the aircraft. All three tours are incredibly enjoyable, interesting and informative. I would strongly recommend doing all three if you can. There is also a very pleasant cafe serving refreshments as well as a gift shop. It's definitely a must visit for any aviation enthusiast or anyone visiting Norwich who would like an attraction to visit. I would allow at least three hours, especially if you are doing all the tours. It's another museum that Intend on returning to in future.

An excellent local museum Well worth a visit. The museum - which is growing - houses a range of exhibits covering aviation in Norwich and the surrounding region. There a number of aircraft on display outside. I would highly recommend taking one of the tours offered on some of these. I went around their Nimrod in a small group led by a retired RAF aircraftsman who used to fly in these - a superb, first-hand account of their missions.

NCAM Small, very interesting museum, with a good selection of aircraft, including a Vulcan and a Nimrod that you can purchase a ticket for an optional tour of those aircraft.

A lovely way to spend the morning in Norwich. Lovely morning surrounded by aviation enthusiasts who maintain a fantastic museum with loads of interesting displays as well as aircraft. I took a guided tour of the Nimrod MR2 and the guide Trevor was fantastic, telling us loads of facts about the aircraft. I found it all really interesting and it was great to see the passion in which the information communicated.

Lovely Day made all the better for the wonderful staff. My Husband and I visited the museum yesterday whilst We are holidaying in Norfolk. He follows their Facebook page so was familiar with them. I rang Linda ahead of our trip who was very enthusiastic, not only about the museum of course, but with general guidance about things to do in the area. I must give a shout out to the lady on reception too (didn't get her name) who gave us a very warm and happy welcome when We arrived. We spent time browsing the museum as you would expect, but for us the highlight was John Allan's guided tours of 3 of the aircraft, the Nimrod, the RJ Whisper Jet, and the Vulcan. John is clearly someone who has a vast aviation knowledge which he is only too happy to share with customers. It made my Husband's day and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Many thanks for a lovely day to all the staff who are clearly very dedicated to the museum. Would absolutely recommend visiting, and definitely would suggest booking the tours on arrival so you don't miss out.

BEST VALUE IN NORFOLK Without doubt this is the best value in Norfolk. It's incredible to think that this amazing museum, with all its indoor displays and outdoor range of aircraft, was put together and is maintained purely by volunteers. My wife and I purchased one-year passes and never have we been more satisfied. The staff from those on the front desk, to those in the tea room and those on the tours, are so amazingly friendly and knowledgable. One lady in the tea room said she and her colleagues loved working there - and it certainly showed. We've since visited a further four times and will be going again this afternoon. There's always something new to see and to discover. The one caveat is that the car park is rather small and soon fills up.
